Good morning CYC Competitors,
As we prepare for the first race of the business part of the series, Race Committee have published the assigned fleets and have also posted an amendment.
SI 1.8 was added to address a General Recall restart. As we often use rolling starts, a General Recall can through subsequent start sequences into chaos. To avoid this, a General Recalled Fleet will go to the back of the line for their restart.
Amd 1 also updated to change the start sequence of boats - this year we are letting the slower boats on the course first to help balance the time on the water. There is no perfect sequence to start the fleets given the constrained time limit and often failing winds - last year faster boats started first. We are letting the J105s head out as first start with 10 strong in the fleet.
GG Ferries are going to stay close to the Caprice/Y mark. Please try to keep that area clear and not impede the commercial vessel.
