Good morning Competitors,
Thank you for your participation in the CYC Midwinters 2026. The conditions had some challenges, so to technical issues on the water with equipment, Committee Boat collision and other matters. It continues.
Many of you have reached out to CYC scoring making inquiries regarding the fleet series scores. RC have been investigating, recalculating and are now able to publish the updated results which are available on the notice board. The issue arose from the regatta being configured using a different scoring protocol as it related to DNC, DNF and DNS scores. The fleets most impacted were those where participation of competitors varied significantly race-to-race. That is, fleets where people register, but don't turn up to race. This has created a few place changes, but mostly the scores or places remained.
Thank you for your patience as we sorted through these issues and apologies to those competitors impacted and to all skippers for the many issues encountered this year. Hopefully you enjoyed the time on the water and after-party back at the club.
