Club Championship Series:

The second installment of the series on May 12 featured a full day of racing in great conditions.  The fleet first tackled a shorter course up and down Raccoon Strait, followed by a second race out to Little Harding for a dose of 20+ knot winds.  Combined results for the day showed Ron Roberts on Sea Ghost putting in the best performance, followed by Julle LeVicki on Min Flicka, Jim Snow on his Cal 20 Racoon and David Johnson on SheLovesIt.  Podium finishers received CYC gift certificates.  Honorable mention to Mark Thompson and his Seaya crew for the best spinnaker performance – yes, he was the only one to get the spinnaker out of the bag!

Next race in the series is the Russ Schneider race on July 21, but don’t forget the two inter-club regattas coming up in June.  We face off against South Beach on June 9 in the new X-Bay Regatta and the annual Friendship Regatta with TYC is June 30.
