Good afternoon Skippers,
As previously shared, the RC team had a number of "mechanical" issues to resolve for the race on Sunday. The most significant which impacted your boats was that the Race Committee was unable to record a finish time due to the finish mark being (very) off station. Your boat had not completed the course. Without the ability to finish boats "fairly" (RRS32.1(c) & (d)) we abandoned the race on the water.
The RC team have received a number of requests for redress relating to this and the other incident, and have been able to remedy these.
The matter surrounding the abandoning of the race due to the inability to finish your boat remains unresolved. It is RC's intention to attempt to be able to score each race in the series and are trying to reach a reasonable outcome for all competitors.
The race was abandoned at 15:48:45. At this time your boat had not finished the race. Race committee are scoring your finish time as 15:48:45. While the elapsed time would have been more than this finish time, the outcome of the race will not be impacted, thereby establishing, what RC consider, a "fair" result for all competitors.
Please let me know by 5pm today (1/22/26) if you consider this to not be acceptable.
