CYC 2006 Midwinter Notice of Regatta
January
21-22
and February 18-19
The regatta is organized by the Corinthian
Yacht
Club of San
Francisco. It shall be conducted according to the Racing Rules of
Sailing 2005-2008 and shall take place January 21-22 and February
18-19,
2006. The race is open to all boats eligible to race in YRA races
who submit entries by
Friday, January 20. The race shall be scored under PHRF or
one-design
rules as appropriate and as further specified in the Sailing
Instructions. The Race Committee may modify ratings, and may
assign somewhat unfavorable ratings to boats without 2005 0r 2006 YRA
PHRF
certificates or established one-design ratings.
The regatta will consist of one race per day. Daily trophies will be awarded, and series trophies will be awarded based on the low point scoring system (RRA Appendix A) as further described in the Sailing Instructions
The Aotea team trophy will be awarded to the best performing three-boat team from a single yacht club.
Other trophies will be awarded as specified in the Sailing Instructions, including Best Performance.
The race will commence in the waters off the
Corinthian
Yacht Club and Knox Point and finish off the CYC race deck. The
races will take place
entirely within San Francisco Bay, unless the bay freezes over.
